Calcinosis cutis lesions are firm, whitish, and may extrude chalky material, unlike the soft, dark red-to-purple, vascular papules of angiokeratomas.
A cyst is a discrete, subcutaneous nodule, whereas angiokeratomas are multiple, small, superficial vascular papules on the scrotum or vulva.
While presenting with angiokeratomas, Fabry's disease is a systemic disorder distinguished by widespread lesions (especially in a "bathing trunk" distribution) and associated symptoms like pain crises and renal failure.
This presents as inflammatory pustules centered on hair follicles, a morphology and etiology completely different from the vascular lesions of angiokeratoma.
